About the cycle
Letnie Brzmienia is a series of concerts taking place in 8 biggest Polish cities: Gdansk, Szczecin, Poznań, Warsaw, Łódź, Wrocław, Katowice and Cracov. During this year’s edition, there are planned 10 weekends with dozens of concerts all together. On the outdoor stages, fans will have an opportunity to see performances of various favourite artists, eg. Monika Brodka with her new released album, Krzysztof Zalewski promoting his new LP Zabawa (from this album there are big hits Anuszka & Tylko nocą) or Kwiat Jabłoni duo who has lately stolen Polish music stages. Places of Letnie Brzmienia are not random – they are some true hot spots – eg. EC1 in Łódź, Plac Społeczny in Wrocław, grasslands surrounding the National Stadium in Warsaw, Old Brewery Park in Poznań. The icing on the cake will be a two days long Letnie Brzmienia Festival in Warsaw.
The Letnie Brzmienia series came into being in 2020 because of the reorganization of the cultural life caused by the coronavirus pandemic. After over a year long lockdown, we are craving for closure, being face to face or just wandering together side by side. When the spring is just around the corner, those needs are getting more intense, aren’t they? There is no summer without at least one ride via Polish railways, one festival handband, one text like: ‘what are you gonna to see now?’ or one (or more) drink at the local bar, A sound is something fleeting what affects on our thoughts only for a moment, but affects on our mind for much longer. This summer, we will evoke emotions in the biggest cities centres. Low bass will pump heartbeating, sounds of violin will bring tears to eyes and the romantic rumble of drums will encourage to the best kisses under the sky.
So what do you think about it?
See you on Letnie Brzmienia!
